![]() Brimstone Fireblasts home in on the player and explode into a ring of 8 / 12 / 14 / 16 Brimstone Darts after some time or on contact with blocks. This is the only occurence of randomness in her attack pattern. Some of the bursts are randomly replaced with firing a Brimstone Fireblast or a Brimstone Gigablast. She performs either 3 or 4 bursts during an attack. She attempts to hover above the player, shooting bursts of 8 Brimstone Darts at the player, leaving similar-sized gaps between the projectiles.Once she enters her second phase, she will charge half as many times in a row.At the start of the attack prior to charging, she will become translucent as a warning. This occurs either 2 or 4 times in a row, depending on the position in the cycle. She condenses her force field into a demonic skull and charges at the player at an incredibly high speed, dealing massive damage. While Supreme Witch, Calamitas is mobile, she will switch between these attacks in a well defined cycle. Visually, Calamitas is always protected by a circular red force field, which serves to increase the size of her hitbox. She always remains either directly above or to the side of the player, only breaking position during Bullet Hell phases or during her devastating dash attacks. Supreme Witch, Calamitas has several powerful attacks that she will switch between in a consistent cycle. Leaving it will cause Calamitas to enrage, significantly increasing the velocity of all of her attacks and giving her 99% irreducible damage reduction. ![]() Upon spawning, Calamitas will create a 159x159 (inner available area is 157x157) square arena made of mostly unbreakable Arena Blocks. If the Brimstone Witch NPC is currently alive in the world, she will disappear when Supreme Witch, Calamitas is summoned. Supreme Witch, Calamitas can be fought in any biome at any time. When Supreme Witch, Calamitas is fully summoned, she will laugh devilishly instead of using the regular boss roar. The Ceremonial Urn is reusable, so Supreme Witch, Calamitas may be summoned any number of times. And when they end, a whole new kind of danger is waiting back at the airbase- paranoid secret police, sexist Red Army officials who want you to fail, and chronic supply shortages are just the beginning of your troubles.Supreme Witch, Calamitas does not spawn on her own and requires the player to summon her with the Altar of the Accursed, which uses Ashes of Calamity or the Ceremonial Urn upon using said items at the Altar, the screen will darken, shake, and become tinted red before Supreme Witch, Calamitas herself appears above the Altar. Missions are crazy dangerous and you have to make hard choices constantly. Days are about renewal and interpersonal conflict, and nights are about hair-raising bombing missions on historically accurate targets across the Soviet Union, Poland, and, in the end, Germany. In play you will alternate between day and night, with unique moves for each. ![]() We also took inspiration from the many offshoots already on tables everywhere- Dungeon World, Monsterhearts, Sagas of the Icelanders, and others. The game is based on Vincent Baker’s brilliant Apocalypse World and is heavily modified from that core to meet the demands of Night Witches. Either way, you’ll tell an epic tale of heroism and sacrifice that honors the women who did it for real. It can be played for a single two-hour session or expanded into a literal campaign following the Regiment across the entire Second World War. Night Witches requires 3-5 players, who will take turns in the role of game master during the game.
